Holders of Singapore EP, including Employment Pass and Entrepreneur Pass, can apply for Singapore Permanent Residence now.
Applying for Singapore Permanent Residence after obtaining an EP is a major way of getting Singapore permanent status. Both the employed persons and the self-employed persons can apply for Singapore EP.
For those who are not registered as directors of Singapore branches, they are all regarded as the employed persons, no matter they hold shares or not. These applicants can only apply for Employment Pass.
For those who are directors of their Singapore branches, which can be confirmed by ACRA, they are regarded as self-employed persons no matter they hold shares or not. This kind of applicants can apply for both Employment Pass and Entrepreneur Pass, and there will be certain application requirements of revenue for the Singapore branches.
If EP holders want to apply for Singapore Permanent Residence, the requirements they should meet are as follows:
For the Employed Persons
1, Holding an Employment Pass for at least three years (personal tax bills of the past three years should be provided);
2, A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience;
3, A minimum monthly salary of SGD 5,000;
4, Holding a bachelor's degree or above;
5, If family members of the applicant apply at the same time, the family members should be living in Singapore.
For the Self-employed Persons
1, Holding an Employment Pass or Entrepreneur Pass for at least two years (personal tax bills of the past two years should be provided);
2, A minimum of 5 years work experience as a senior manager;
3, A minimum monthly salary of SGD 6,000;
4, Holding a college degree or above;
5, No criminal record;
6, The Singapore office should have a revenue of SGD 50,000 in the first year and a revenue of SGD 150,000 in the second year;
7, The Singapore office should recruit three staff members in the first year and five staff members in the second year.
